Big Girl's First Haircut

At exactly 4 months, LA got her very first haircut with Ashley at Salon Plush. This dear friend has been doing my hair for 8 years and it's pretty fun that she is now cutting my baby girl's hair. She needed just a little trim on the hair around her ears because it was hanging over and starting to look uneven. The youngest client to ever sit in the chair! She didn't mind it one bit.

Without further ado, our new girl :)

Easter Photo Shoot

Well, we attempted an Easter photo shoot with Great-Uncle Don and Great Grandma Matthes. It was a very quick impromptu thing but nonetheless some of these are pretty funny. LA wasn't amused and didn't care much to smile or do anything cute. She did catch a wing or a foot a couple times which was comical. Disclaimer: No animals were harmed in the taking of these pictures.

No great ones that I was even going to spend time editing, but here they are. :)

What's so funny?

Shortly after this Swiper made one swift move and flung
'em all off her lap.

Our Easter Bunny

**This post has been updated, finally!

On your very 1st Easter, we woke up to find that the Easter Bunny had stopped at our house to drop a little basket off for Little Missy. We then got ready and went to Sheridan Lutheran and Grandma and Grandpa Matthes joined us. Afterwards, we went back to their house and had a delicious lunch and spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out.

Such a happy baby with Daddy.

Being awake through church is exhausting!

Couldn't get enough of this smile after nap.

A top favorite picture of LA yet - just changing a diaper.

Grandma loving our Bunny.

Grandpa with the Bunny. She wasn't
sure why we were laughing at her?

And then there was the Easter Basket photo shoot. Not too amused.

...And then Mommy thought it would be funny to put these ears on me...

Enough already!
Holidays are so much more fun having a Little. I've been excited for these times for years and can't believe that she is finally here to enjoy them with. I am looking forward to all of the holiday traditions that will be starting as soon as she gets a little older.

We sure do love you, Little Bunny. Thanks for brightening our days and for giving us
smile after smile. You are a joy to have around!

Peanut's 1st Trip to Cambridge - Prom

Cannot believe that this was Kilah's last prom. This girl is graduating and will be living here in Lincoln with us before we know it. And I cannot wait! She looked stunning and we couldn't be more proud of her. Here are pictures from Saturday, March 16.

Sister and her date, Ryan Rice.

Kilah's boyfriend, Dakota, came to promenade.
She brought him home to meet us all for the first time the night before.

LA certainly wasn't lacking any attention this weekend. And she
was loving every minute of it!

Daddy being silly...I'll take what I can get!
It's rough being little.

LA with Kilah and her two friends, Breanna and Rachelle
My girl just lovin' all the attention :)

Just playing with Grandpa before bed.

Love this sweet face.

Peanut's 1st Trip to Cambridge - Bath Time Edition

Beware of photo overload. This had it's own post because there are too many pictures that I cannot get enough of. One thing is for sure, this girl is loved. And I cannot get enough of her!

Just chillin' in Grandpa's sink. :)

Has any one child ever had so much attention?

Girlfriend sure does love her aunts!

Aunt Roo cuddled with LA all night and I woke up Saturday
morning and came upstairs to find this. These three were just
hanging out and she was soaking up every minute of it.
Nothing makes my heart happier than these two
loving on my girl.

Cutest little butt that I ever did see!

Great-Grandpa and Grandma came to see me.

Of course we had a blowout when Larry and Marilyn
got there. Nothing else to do but a 3 pm bath.

This picture is an all-time favorite. Grandpa jumped
right at the opportunity to give this girl a bath.
Who loved it more?

Just love this smile.

...And this one :)

Priceless.

Pretty special Grandpa, he is.

Ready for a bottle and bed.

Just another one that I can't get
enough of.
