Sweet Baby Girl, you are 3 MONTHS old already! I'm not sure we are having fun yet, but time is flying! Kidding, a lot of fun with some tough days in the middle. All worth it, though. I'm trying to be better about documenting things this time, and surprisingly your baby book is a lot more complete than your sisters. It has been fun seeing how different you are from your sister.
At 3 months, you:
Weighed 13 pounds, 13 ounces (at dr office, with clothes and diaper on)
Prefer warm milk
Hate your carseat and being laid down
Have started loving the swing
Also think the clock is funny like your Big Sister did
Wake when the thought of laying you down even crosses our mind
Wear size 2 diapers, but will probably be in 3's soon
Wear 6 month jams and mostly 6 or even 6-9 month clothes
Completed your 1st 5K in the stroller on 6/21/14
Sleep better when swaddled but usually break out of it
Graze a lot - eat 2-3 ounces on no particular schedule
Sleep anywhere from 4-8 hours in one span at night
Are getting better about going back to sleep somewhat quickly at night
Love to watch and smile at your sister
Have more rolls on your body then your sister ever has
Love to be talked to and kissed
Are extremely ticklish - laughed for the 1st time at Daddy on ___________***
Are still exclusively on breast milk
Have rolled a couple times (1st time on ___)***
Still do not like tummy time. At all.
Sleep downstairs in pack-n-play with Mommy at night
Sleep better in the complete dark
Coo a lot when talked to
Your hair is getting lighter, still have a mullet
HATE taking medicine. Total drama.
Love to be held. And held while standing. And walking while held while standing.
Are an extreme cuddler - favorite place is nuzzled in our necks
Definitely prefer to be held by Mommy & Daddy over others
LOVE bath time - you could sit in there all day!
Are very strong - nurses commented while giving you your shots!
Prefer to be held upright to look over our shoulders
Like to look at your Bug toy and anything colorful
Enjoy riding in the stroller
Tolerate all the rubs, kisses, pokes and jabs from big sister very well
Went to chiropractor faithfully for about a month which seemed to help
Still take an antacid but don't really notice much if we forget it
Had your 1st sleepover with Reynolds' on 6/9/14 for our 1st night away
We joke that you wake to the smell of food or my breast pump. It seems like it never fails - you always wake and need fed 5 minutes ago at that point. And you can guarantee that you will wake and lose your marbles just as I start pumping. Like clock work.
While still somewhat particular and occasionally demanding (ha), you are still overall a much easier baby than your sister was. Really, you would be good with just being held all day. I can honestly say that I have done everything I can to not spoil you with being held too much (Roo can even attest that I always lay you down to sleep, have never slept with you other than quick naps, etc) and somehow you have still managed to demand it. We are probably going to get kicked out of daycare. But at least you don't cry nonstop like your sister did for the first 4 months of her life. We have had some really rough days and nights, but nothing compared to Landry. This past month has been a lot better, and I actually credit the chiropractor for that. I didn't think it was working for the longest time, but I really think that it has helped now.
We really have no schedule whatsoever. If I had to give one, it would be something like: wake between 5 and 7 to eat 2-3 ounces, eventually nap for an hour, wake and eat another 2 ounces, maybe sleep another 2 hours, wake and eat an ounce and only fall asleep if we have somewhere to be and need to be awake, eat 3 ounces then sleep a good 2-3 hours in the afternoon (but only if held), wake and eat 2-3 ounces when dinner is hot on the table, bath time/pee or poop all over, eat 3 ounces and fall fast asleep from about 8-10:30, wake and eat 2-3 ounces and fall back asleep anywhere between 11 and 1 and may or may not wake sometime between 4 and 6:30. I'm looking forward to seeing what daycare can do to straight that "schedule" out!
Pumping this time has gone a lot better. Don't get me wrong, I still hate strongly despise every single minute of it and have to literally concentrate so I don't go crazy when doing it, but I've been producing a lot more milk so at least it is worthwhile. After about a month of agonizing pain, I went to MilkWorks and got bigger shields and that has made a huge difference (still need different size, but it's at least better). For a little over the 1st two months I was able to put about 21 ounces of milk in the freezer a day when I was pumping every 2-3 hours around the clock. I finally gave that rodeo up and talked myself into dealing with the guilt and only going every 4 hours which has now turned into ever 4-6 hours during the day and no middle of the night sessions. So it's about 4 times a day now and I am still keeping up and freezing about 6-12 ounces a day. I am so ready to be done, but am going to give it a good college try when going back to work.
